S u b j e c t i v e R e s p o n s e s
to 1 hour DreamWeaver sessions

by Benedick Howard

These actual results represent the ongoing DreamWeaver research for empowerment and well-being.
Each client is asked in the same manner. "On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is best, how stressed / focussed / feel about yourself / etc....".
Red bar represents their appraisal before their session and the Blue bar represents the response after the 55 minute session.
Each graph below shows 30 clients.
Same people in each graph. 10 is BEST!

The above graph is showing how the stress levels were reduced. The first client rated their stress as 4 (red line) and 7 (blue line) after the session. The second client came in at a 8 and left at a 10 - no stress. And so on down the chart through 27 clients. On average they all came in at around a 6 and left at around a 9. One client (just below 1/2 way down the graph) came in at a 6 and left at a 3. This will happen occasionally usually because the session has heightened the clients awareness, in this case just how stressed they are. The facilitator training covers these and many situations, so that the facilitator may responsibly advise the client on their options. 12 of the group reported feeling no stress at the end of the session.

Focus is really interesting. As one becomes more relaxed one's awareness increases, but the "to the point focus decreases". The same client mentioned above went from a 9 to a 1 as their stress levels decreased too. Over 3/4 of the group the focus stayed the same or increased. There is not really a better or worse condition here. As facilitators we observe how the client reacts so that we may introduce over a series of sessions the appropriate music selection and other techniques so that both the awareness and the focus are both attainable at the same time - similar to aboriginal "dream time".

As a rule of thumb the worse the condition the more dramatic the result. The worst condition was self assessed at a 4 by a client (1/2 way down) and left at a 9. Almost no pain. The interesting thing to note here is that there is little "drop off". In other words the "almost no pain" could last for days, weeks or months. This depends upon many factors particularly emotional pain. If the emotional pain is cleared then frequently the physical pain clears too. None of the client's physical pain worsened, although during the session sometimes the pain is brought to the surface in consciousness and then is dissipated by the music and then greatly improves.

In almost every client (23 out of 27) the emotional pain stayed the same or improved. A testimony of the efficacy of the DreamWeaver. For those who came in at a 10 (best) and left at a 10 often they did not as it were leave themselves room for improvement. They thought that they were OK when they came in! However, often the client will excitedly respond at the end of the session with 12 or a 20! As a matter of recording protocol we always note the lower number if there is hesitancy in answering the question. The same client as mentioned above worsened. I would have to go back to the notes from the session, but generally this is a "healing crisis" or "corrective change" that has been brought about by the facilitation. These responses are recorded by the facilitator so that the client may discuss the options and the facilitator will have a basis for understanding what is going on. As you can see from the graphs a lot happens in a session for all of these changes to be going on simultaneously.

This question is worded "On a scale of one to ten how is your life manageable right now". It assists in the client looking at their life style and using it as part of the overall objective of understanding self. All clients showed improvement or stayed the same. There could be many reasons for this, the most important being that the session enabled the client to see that really it wasn't as bad as all that once the stress and the pain was out of the way.

An interesting study that clearly illustrates the response of the immune system to the session. It has been shown by many studies how blood and brain wave activities are normalized and here we see the effect on the immune system. In fact the DreamWeaver is so powerful on the immune system that we use this as a major gauge for how we facilitate and conduct the session. Look at the dramatic result on two clients - going from a 1 to an 8 in both cases.
